First of all we'd like to welcome you to SBH. We are a network of men and women gathered together for a common purpose. SBH is a place for support, information, and entertainment. With that in mind we've collectively gathered some posting guidelines to ensure that your time here is both purposeful and enjoyable. We welcome suggestions for improving the forum, but we will not tolerate mean or derogatory comments about the site.  These will result in deletion of the post.  If the problems continue, your account will be deleted.

1. We have many personalities here on SBH, so we have many differing opinions about everything. Not everyone is going to agree all of the time.

2. Please be courteous in how/what you type. Since we don't see other posters face to face, sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what you mean with just words on the screen. Words can be hurtful if taken the wrong way.

3. We are here to support each other, and here to listen. In turn, it's alright not to make a post. Sometimes a hug is worth more than an actual post, just so the original poster knows that someone is out there 'listening'.

4. If you're having a problem with a specific member on the board, take it to PM's, please keep it off the board. If you need futher assistance with it, please feel free to PM a Mod or an Admin.

5. Please use common sense when posting about your loved one. Adhere to the OPSEC standards. http://www.ioss.gov/bulletin.html

6. What's posted in the naughty corner, stays in those forums. Please don't carry topics over to the general board.

7. Many of us have been through the challenges you may/will go through. Please don't hesitiate to ask a question if you need to, chances are that someone will have an answer for you. No question is a dumb question.

8. We all appreciate new ideas, different views, or good suggestions. Your input is valuable to us.

9. Utilize the Moderators. They are here to help you and answer any questions you may have.

10. Enjoy your time here, and don't be afraid to be yourself because we love having you here.

11. You have one week from the day that your account is approved by an Admin to start posting if you don't you will recive  one e-mail saying come post or else your account will be deleted in 24 hours

12. Posting of personal information about other people or their sailor is not ok, if you think you know someone pm them and say hey!  

13.  We do not allow deployment trackers on this website.  This is for the safety of our sailors.  There will be no exceptions.



On an added note we ask that all of our members post at least once a week so we know you will remain active!
